I would have titled this post 'Easter Weekend' but I was crazy with Pam's wedding! Luckily I planned a brunch for our family way in advance, so Easter was easy to celebrate. Sawyer even let us sleep in until 8:30 after the wedding! We went to EvFree for their Easter service with Jeremy's parents and my mom and Jim. The service was great, and our Southern Baptist moms loved the old hyms we sang! It was so fun to all be together. And that was Sawyer's first day in the church nursery. I know it's silly but I had a lot of anxiety about dropping him off with more strangers when I already do that 5 days a week! But he must have known he needed to do well for his mommy - not a cry when we left and he was perfectly happy when we returned.
After church we drove around so S could nap, then met up with my family again, plus Amanda and Tyler and Granmomo and Neil, at Chez Zee for Easter brunch. They had a yummy buffet - my favorite was the creme brulee french toast! Sawyer had a blast practicing walking all over the restaurant and watching the cars drive by outside.
Once we got home, Sawyer seemed sleepy so we tried for a second nap. He is so silly - he rolled around his crib and babbled happily for an hour, but never slept. At least we got a little rest! We went downstairs to see what the Easter Bunny left, plus a basket from Aunt Jamie and Uncle Josh. (The EB decided Sawyer could start hunting for eggs next year...)
Unfortunately we didn't get any family pictures, but here are some from our afternoon:
Hope y'all had Happy Easters too!
