Catching Up

I have so much to catch up on, way back from before Thanksgiving. The week before the holiday was a memorable event in our parenting lives - being sick at the same time as a sick baby. Jeremy came down with a stomach bug Monday night, and since I was up most of the night also, I dropped Sawyer at daycare and stayed home with Jeremy. I started not feeling well also, and then I got a call from daycare saying Sawyer had a fever and had to come home. Ugh. We were so lucky Aunt Amanda had a light school week, and she stayed with Sawyer all afternoon so Jeremy and I could rest. When we realized we were both really sick and not recovering anytime soon, we called in the big guns - Lolly and Pops. They dropped everything, drove straight here to get Sawyer and took him back to Houston. It took us a long time to be feeling 100% again...and then unfortunately that weekend when we were in Houston staying at my mom's we found out that Lolly and Pops got the bug from us! I felt so horrible! It really threw off the beginning of the holiday, but by the end of the holidays we were all feeling better. So for the past month we've been alternating being sick, being out of town and being sick again. Oh, and moving and unpacking. And working. And trying to gear up for Christmas. And these are all the reasons I haven't blogged in a while! Hoping to continue catching up...
