Uchi Houston Opening

Last Thursday night a group of us tried Uchi for their opening night.  This is just a quick review of our courses - we got a 10 course tasting and a couple other courses thrown in for good measure.  I tried really hard to snap a picture of each course but wasn't successful at getting all 10+.  Here's what I did capture:

oysters with lychee puree

beet salad with skyr yogurt, bitter greens and acacia honey

uchi salad - hydroponic baby greens with edamame-jalapeno

jar jar duck - duck, kumquat, endive and rosemary smoke served in this cool jar
(the smoke literally filled the jar, so when they opened it you smelled smoky duck - delicious!)

baby yellowtail

I believe this is the wagyu beef cooked sous-vide for 72 hours - also delicious!
We had a long, long dinner with many courses - so I can't accurately remember each of them.  All of the sushi and fish were delicious, as was the duck and the beef.  I look forward to returning, knowing more about the menu now, and ordering some of our favorites again!
