15 Books

I saw this on facebook and thought it was fun!

Fifteen books you've read that will always stick with you, the first 15 you can recall in less than 15 minutes.

1. What to Expect When You're Expecting (huge surprise, I know)
2. Hold Tight, Harlan Coben - just got it from my mother-in-law & started it last night!
3. A Wrinkle in Time - one of my all-time favorites
4. the Harry Potter series (no need to list all 7)
5. The Scandalous Summer of Sissy LeBlanc
6. The Woods, Harlan Coben
7. The Shack - don't like it, can't force myself to finish it
8. The Secret Garden
9. A Thousand Splendid Suns - the only book club book I read and loved it!
10. My Father's Dragon - my dad read this old book to me, as well as my younger sister and brother, before bed when we were little
11. the Babysitters Club series - I read seriously all 100+ of these and even wrote a letter to the author, who sent me back an autographed head shot!
12. The Giver - I didn't read this until I took Children's Literature in college & loved it!
13. Danny, Champion of the World, Roald Dahl - I still remember my dad coming to read this in my 5th grade class
14. Confessions of a Shopaholic, Sophie Kinsella - I read this looooooong before the movie came out!
15. DaVinci Code - I hopped on the bandwagon and read this (along with a ton of other books!) when I worked in Arkansas one summer. I liked it, but loved Angels & Demons more.

I struggled to come up with 13-15 and once I typed 15 I remembered probably 15 more! I LOVE reading and having the time to read. I guess I better work on stack of books I have left before baby comes. I bought a huge, thick Jane Austen anthology with 7 of her books, and I still want to read Julie & Julia, Wesley the Owl, Thirteen Stories, Pillars of the Earth (which is almost halfway completed), and I wouldn't mind trying to squish in all of Harlan Coben's books I haven't read yet!

  1. You must read Belly Laughs by Jenny McCarthy, it is hilarious and a quick read! You can borrow mine, no need to buy it.

  2. WAIT! How did I never know that you were such a BSC fan!?! They were my favorites! I read all the books too, and my mom got me out of school early once to get one of my books signed by Ann M. Martin herself. Stacy was my favorite, of course!

  3. I loved the Scandalous Summer...! Such a fun book! Also, who didn't love the BSC...now I'm upset I didn't write the author to receive a signed head shot. Do you remember the series on tv for BSC??

  4. Oh, the TV series was SO good! Starring the girl who played Maryanne who also ended up being in She's All That! Maryanne was my fave - I liked her and Logan! My favorite were the really thick books when they went on vacations, like to NYC and Hawaii and Disney World (right?). SO so good.

  5. Yes - those were awesome. My least favorite were the little sister books and the mystery series (but I still read them)!
