First, my faithful straightener went - there's an on/off switch and when I went to switch it off, the actual switch thing broke so it will only be on. At least I can still unplug it, which I should probably do anyway as I have left it on more days than I'd like to admit to. It's probably time for a new one soon anyway - I've had this single straightener since 2002, my senior year of high school. Wait, that can't be right. I've been out of high school for 7 years?? My 10-year reunion is only 3 years away?? I swear I am younger than this.

Then, my sweet little Dell that is only 3 years old is really freaking out on me. It's had issues for about a year, but Jeremy has always been able to revive it. Now it won't even do a system restore for us, and the mouse touch pad thing stopped working. I can still use a wireless USB mouse we have, but still, it shouldn't have just quit working! And now the keyboard is having issues - I have to punch down hard on each key and that is really annoying. The blog post from last night I did at home, and it took me many tries to get all the letters in there and words spelled right! But again, it still works technically and it's hard to just jump at spending $1,000 on a new computer.

Back to work for me - I have a binder to assemble, y'all!
i have the same straightener and got it in high school too! my cat actually chewed through the power cord (it was off!) and I ended up rewiring it back together with some wire strippers and electrical tape. i am so cheap. but that was 4 years ago and it still works!
