White Trash

We are so glad Aunt Amanda is finally back in Austin with us! She's been such a good buddy to have (to me and her nephew!) before she gets busy with school tomorrow. Last Friday she called and suggested we go to Walton's Fancy & Staple, Sandra Bullock's cafe & bakery. I was so excited - I'd seen Sandra on the Tonight Show a while ago talking about the place and I've been dying to go. Walton's is on 6th Street downtown, and it is so cute!! Everything on the menu sounded great and we were literally drooling over the cookies, cupcakes, cakes and other sweets. We each got a bag of Aunt Luddy's White Trash Mix (aka puppy chow), and organic chicken salad sandwiches for lunch. Amanda got some tippy bars (something like chocolate and butterscotch and some other stuff) and I got a red velvet and a carrot cake cupcake for Jeremy and myself for dessert. Everything was scrumptious and I can't wait to go back! Sawyer also made his first Austin friend - the woman in front of us had her 8-week-old son with her named Livingston. She was planning her wedding and using Walton's for cupcakes and floral arrangements. And just in case you forgot you were in Austin...she informed me Liv (is that how you'd shorten Livingston?) was born 11 pounds. At home. All natural.

...but really, next time you're in Austin - stop by Walton's for breakfast or lunch!
