So, we moved.

We closed on our new house at the end of March, and moved almost exactly one month later at the end of April.  We packed ourselves and hired movers for the big day.  It was a lot of change in one weekend - moving day was also Sawyer's last day at his school and by Monday we were sleeping at the new house, Sawyer in a twin bed for the first time, and he started at a new school.  Not to mention we had to figure out our new commutes!  The month between closing and moving we had been moving stuff to the new house, and I'd even unpacked almost the whole kitchen so some parts of the house were at least livable soon after moving in.

Moving weekend was actually not so horrible, thankfully.  Sawyer stayed with my mom the first night so we could prep his room more, and the next day he spent a few hours at my dad's so we could finish his room and we were able to finally buy a couch for the living room.  We've been so busy most weekends in May... I'm not sure we'll ever be unpacked.

So far - we love it here.  Even with the commute for both of us.  I can't say enough how much we love the house and the neighborhood!

Now to the good stuff... before pictures of the house.  I love home tours, so here is ours, in case you're nosy like me:

So that's it!  I feel like it will be years and years before the house feels like we have totally made it our own, but that's okay.  We have made some changes already - painted all 3 bedrooms and the electric blue bathroom upstairs (bedrooms are all Kilim Beige and the bathroom is Latte - the 2nd bathroom upstairs wasn't pictured but it's small and was already neutral).  We also got the front door refinished and a new handle, and got the bookshelves and above the fireplace in the living room painted white instead of red.  Hopefully I can show some finished room pictures in the near future. :)
