In March we braved the crowds and heat to take Sawyer to the rodeo with Lolly and Pops. We didn't plan on being there long, and once we saw the crowds we knew it would be a quite short visit. We went the last Saturday it was in town, and that was a mistake. But we did get to eat some fried food (if a corn dog counts - no fun stuff!), meet a cow, see some chicks and sit on a real longhorn! Most of the animals were gone by then, but we found two very nice cows the owners let us say hi to.
Then we paid $25 for this series of 4 pictures and it was worth every single penny!
The night before Sawyer's birthday party, we all went over to my dad's house for dinner and cake to celebrate his birthday! Sawyer always does so well there - probably because there are tons of people, namely two of my step-sisters who entertain him the whole time! We had a blast, and my dad is still talking about it. :) Sawyer got the biggest kick out of this bunch of balloons.
A couple weeks ago we got to celebrate Easter with my dad and his family at Champions - my favorite place in the world to be on Easter. I haven't been in several years and it did not disappoint. The decorations were lovely, they had an egg hunt for kids outside, in addition to a petting zoo and a pen full of rabbits to hold! Sawyer had a ball and was so good. They even had a train kids could ride in the parking lot - talk about heaven for this little boy.
And the Easter Bunny didn't disappoint either:
Not pictured: goodies from Geeps and Honey, Lolly and Pops, and Gigi. Seriously, this kid is so unloved and starved for attention.
And how could I have not mentioned the biggest announcement of all?!
On March 29, my sweet niece, Lauren Marie, was born! We haven't been to see her yet in Arkansas (we're dying to plan that trip!) but I did steal some pictures from my sister-in-law!
On her birthday!
Looking so stylish in an outfit from Aunt Meagan!
A sneak peek from her newborn photo shoot - gorgeous, no?
Such a cute family! And little Lauren is beautiful!
