7 Months!

I'm slightly late on this post - we've been busy packing and moving and signing on the dotted line to close on the sale of our house! {Yay!} These pictures are in his baby giraffe Halloween costume. Since we didn't do much for Halloween I wanted to get a little more wear out of it!

What is SHH up to at 7 months?

Eating: He's such a good eater! He's really chunked up, and people are starting to notice! I don't know his weight this month but I know my arms think he's really getting heavy. We're still on the same schedule - breakfast (fruit w/ cereal or grains and a bottle), lunch (veggie and a bottle), snack (bottle), dinner (veggie and a bottle), night night snack (fruit w/ cereal or grains and a bottle). He eats about every 3 hours but can go longer if he's entertained enough. He's started drinking less formula in each bottle, but I still can't gauge the right amount to make consistently (so we just waste a lot of formula). We have switched from Alimentum to theSimilac Sensitive formula (it's in an orange bottle), and he's been doing very well with the switch. I'm very excited when I can switch to whole milk though!

Sleeping: Still a great sleeper here! He sleeps 11-12 hours a night, wakes up happy and rolls around in his crib until I get him up. His naps are still short, but it's okay. He gets sleepy about an hour or so after eating and naps for 30 minutes. He's awesome at going down for naps or at night in his bed, and doesn't even fuss very much anymore since he knows exactly what to expect. Still a tummy sleeper, and I've just been putting him in regular size 3 Pampers Cruisers at night and we've had fewer leaks! Now that it's getting cooler he sleeps in a sleep sack and it is the cutest thing in the world!

Diapers: Pampers Cruisers, size 3.

Clothes: Size 6-12 months in most things, or 9 months, depending on how the sizing is. Still in 9 month pj's but we are needing to move up to 12 month!

New tricks: Crawling! Yep, he's mobile now! He started right around 7 months getting up on all fours, then he added rocking back and forth, and now (a week later) he lunges forward toward whatever he's trying to grab and face plants. He doesn't have the mechanics totally worked out, but he still makes forward progress. It's too cute and I've had a lot of fun playing with him on the floor recently. His 7-month birthday was also a really big day because I felt his first tooth poking through! He's been a wonderful teether - slightly fussier, but baby Orajel fixes any discomfort, and he's still sleeping well. I now see and feel his 2 bottom teeth. It's so cute! I was sad I would miss his gummy smile, but my mom assured me he will continue to get cuter at each new stage until he's about 5. Ha! Sawyer has also recently added a very frustrated-sounding grunt/scream. It could be a result of teething and just being extra fussy, but a few times lately he's wanted every toy he can get his hands on but grunts/screams when you give them to him. One of those times you really wish he could just tell you what he wants!

Favorites: Practicing crawling; grabbing everything and seeing how it tastes; remotes and cell phones; rattles; being benchpressed by daddy; getting kisses; giving kisses; grabbing hair and any extra skin and pulling really hard; Itsy Bitsy Spider; going on walks; his grandparents!

As always, this stage is a lot of fun and he really has the best little personality. If we're not careful he's going to be very spoiled! Love you, baby boy!
